Turning Experience into Positive Change
I recently joined First People Housing, bringing with me experience of working in supported housing and a genuine passion for helping people move forward in their lives.
For the past two years, I have worked within supported housing, supporting people with their housing needs and helping them access the practical support they need. I also have personal experience of the challenges surrounding addiction and homelessness, which has strengthened my determination to support others, particularly people who may be vulnerable or going through difficult periods in their lives.
I have recently completed university studies in Social Sciences, specialising in Criminology, and previously worked in care supporting people living with dementia. These experiences have given me a real interest in people, their individual stories and the different circumstances that can shape their lives.
What I enjoy most about my work is getting to know people as individuals, understanding what matters to them and helping them make positive changes at their own pace.
Outside of work, my daughter is my absolute pride and joy. I also enjoy reading, puzzles and games, and spending time with the people who matter most to me.
I am excited to be part of First People and to continue doing what I am passionate about: supporting people, recognising their potential and helping create opportunities for positive change.
