My background as a housing officer taught me how much a safe, stable home matters. For years, I helped people navigate tenancy agreements, manage the practicalities of housing, and find their way through complicated systems. But I always felt that having a roof over your head was only the beginning.

Joining First People Housing as a Support and Development Worker brought together my experience and what matters most to me: working directly with people as they rebuild their lives.

I bring a practical understanding of housing alongside a genuine passion for helping people move forward. Whether it’s working through a difficult situation, taking the next step towards a personal goal, or recognising progress that someone hasn’t yet seen in themselves, I value the everyday moments that help confidence and independence grow.

For me, this work is about listening, building trust, and offering steady support through life’s challenges. At First People Housing, I feel in my element — helping people recognise their strengths and build a future they can believe in.
