I joined First People as Project Lead for The Hideout Collective, following a 20-year career as an approved electrician.

After many years working in a practical trade, I welcomed the opportunity to combine my skills and experience with something I care deeply about: helping people move forward from difficult circumstances.

Drawing on my own lived experience of recovery and second chances, alongside my practical background, I support the men we work with to rebuild their confidence, develop valuable skills and take part in meaningful, work-related activities.

First People’s commitment to providing safe and secure housing—while helping people build the skills they need for a more positive future—closely reflects my own values. I am proud to be part of the team and look forward to helping change lives for the better.
